Falcon band and Colorguard
The Falcon Band and Colorguard performs at competitions, community events, school rallies, and athletic games. The have been featured performers for the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Sparks, Office of the Mayor, and much more. Students rehearse during the daily school bell schedule and after school during the fall.
Marching Band is both a physical activity and a musical activity. Students march throughout the field at various speeds to create different visual shapes, all while performing music perfectly on their instrument. Marching Band members uphold the Santee Gold Standard by learning to become great musicians, strong self motivators, hard workers, and school leaders.
Students may participate on the following instruments:
Woodwind: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone
Brass: Trumpet, Mellophone, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba
Drumline: Snare Drum, Tenor Drum, Bass Drum
Mallet Percussion: Marimba, Xylophone, Vibraphone, Bells
Auxiliary Percussion: Timpani, Concert Snare, Concert Bass Drum, Cymbals +
We follow a standard of excellence and believe in the principles of teamwork, confidence, integrity, and initiative. Participation in the group requires students maintain a 2.0 GPA while receiving a C or better in each of their classes.
